Nap Club
3.30pm-5.30pm at the Little Escape Studio
2 hours of rest to relieve exhaustion, reduce stress and calm your nervous system
Next date: Nap Club + sound journey, Sunday 6 September at 3.30-5.30pm
In this practice of restorative yoga, we come together to lie down in a range of positions supported by bolsters, blocks and blankets. Poses are held for 15-20 minutes to allow a deep unwinding in the body’s tissues and to allow your mind to settle. This practice is a break from planning, prioritising and doing, and is instead about simply being.
If you're tired or frazzled, busy or anxious, overwhelmed or your monkey mind is up to tricks; if you're in need of some time alone, time to unwind, close your eyes and rest your body, this session is for you.
You might sleep, or sometimes your consciousness might hover somewhere between being awake and asleep. Rest is a practice, and you’ll be given tools you can take out into the world to allow you to take some downtime before you hit burnout. You’ll come out feeling the bliss of receiving pure rest for 120 minutes, and with a sense of your systems in more harmony.
I recommend bringing an extra blanket and/or cushion or pillow. Everyone welcome (including pregnant women).
“Nap Club is utter bliss.”
