Nap Club
Monthly, 3.30pm-5.30pm at the Little Escape Studio
2 hours of rest to relieve exhaustion, reduce stress and calm your nervous system
In this practice of restorative yoga, we come together to lie down in a range of positions supported by bolsters, blocks and blankets. This is a freedom practice, where you get to take a break from doing activities, planning or prioritising, and get to be. You come to rest and repair, disrupting links between productivity and self-worth and centring your self, your body, your needs.
If you're tired or frazzled, busy or anxious, overwhelmed or your monkey mind is up to tricks; if you're in need of some time alone, time to unwind, close your eyes and rest your body, this session is for you.
You might sleep, or sometimes your consciousness might hover somewhere between being awake and asleep. Rest is a practice - it can take some time to give ourselves permission to regularly rest, but once we do, significant shifts can follow in terms of mood, creativity, our ability to set boundaries and look after ourselves and each other.
Maximum 8 students. I recommend bringing an extra blanket and/or cushion or pillow. Everyone welcome (including pregnant women).
