Pelvis Embodiments for Mothers, with Mollie McClelland Morris
Sunday 06 June 10-11.30am
Live stream
Earlybird price £15
Many of us, after pregnancy, birth and parenting a newborn, feel profoundly disconnected from our own bodies. It can be tricky to find ways back into the body, complicated by confusing messages, pain, lack of time and so much energy going into child (rather than self) care.
This workshop will be a gentle exploration of the pelvis, the pelvic floor muscles and the movements within the pelvis, through movement, touch and learning about our anatomy and design.
With gentle movement and playful exploration, we will feel the movement of our bones, the power of our muscle (hint: They are most powerful when we aren't trying to squeeze them!) and slowly build back the sensuality of our bodies. Bring awareness, balanced tone and ease back into pelvic movements. With lots of takeaway ideas for "movement snacks", you will have practical ways to reconnect with your body, even in very small windows of time.
All who have given birth, will give birth, hope to give birth or support those who give birth are welcome. For this workshop it would be helpful to have a yoga block, 2 small exercise balls or a rolled up towel.
