What happens when things don’t go back to how your body felt before kids? When you’ve tried doing kegels but can’t feel exactly what’s going on, or you feel pressure down below, wobbly in your core or can’t shift lower back pain. Maybe things don’t feel quite right, either in every day life or when you’re doing exercise, or you want to feel more confident that you’re exercising safely and effectively. Are there other options to putting up with leaking/prolapse/diastasis … what is diastasis anyway?

What will the workshop cover?

You’ll learn about the Low Pressure Fitness technique and why it’s so beneficial in rehabilitating pelvic floor and core postpartum. Often women get clearance for exercise from their GP but are left with symptoms or unanswered questions about their postnatal bodies. You’ll learn the technical fundimentals and some of the poses, and get the chance to ask questions around pelvic floor dysfunction and abdominal issues postpartum. These issues are often not talked about but they’re surprisingly common.

Who’s the workshop for?

Anyone who’s had a baby and wants to safely regain internal strength so that they can move and feel good in their bodies from the inside out. It doesn’t matter whether you had your baby six weeks or 60 years ago! Hypopressives are a hugely safe and effective way to bring strength and function back to your postpartum body.

Your teacher

In 2021 Simone launched re-centre, an online platform to share the incredible Hypopressives technique with more women, with the intention of making the technique accessible, and give women the tools to empower their own body to be the strongest and most functional versions of their brilliant selves.

Simone was a professional dancer for 15 years and has taught pilates for 13 years. After training in Low Pressure Fitness in Spain in 2017, she now specialises in postnatal rehabilitation. She and her husband live in SE London with their 2 children.

The workshop will be introduced by Chloe, yoga teacher and doula and Founder of Stretched Mums.
